What We Do

Based on the clarification given in the NGOs law, it has been defined that NGOs are non-government, non-political and non-profitable organizations which delivers humanitarian services in terms of   civil society support, rights of citizens, advocacy and good governance.

sughra international organization NGOs were rarely active in Pakistan before 2012, as an example we can only mention CARE, Asia foundation and International Assistance Mission. There was also no institution for NGO activities coordination. NGO began working in pakistan in coordination with the ministry of foreign affairs before 2013. NGO were mainly active at the refugee camps in Pakistan.

To some extent the NGOs activities moved to Tajikistan .Tajikistan has facilitated NGOs registration through ministry of foreign affairs and the planning ministry of the time (presently ministry of economy). A small unit was established for NGO registration within directorate of external affairs of the ministry of planning.

What We Do

  1. To unite NGOs worldwide in the cause of advancing world peace, as well as well-being at all levels – individual, family, tribal, national, and world;
  2. To assist its member organizations in accomplishing their tasks relative to creating a better society and world: economically, socially, environmentally, politically, and morally;
  3. To empower its worldwide membership by acting as one strong and unified voice in advancing conflict resolution and moral solutions to pressing global, national, and social problems;
  4. To serve its member organizations by acting as their advocate and spokesman at the international level on issues of mutual concern, by working in partnership with the United Nations and other intergovernmental bodies to voice concerns and advance objectives of the membership, and by providing forums for interaction and exchange of information among its members;
  5. To unite NGOs worldwide in support of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, with particular emphasis on promoting (a) human dignity, as outlined in Article 1, (b) tolerance, as outlined in Article 2, (c) the family, as outlined in Article 16, and (d) religious freedom, as outlined in Article 18;
  6. To give greater voice to smaller NGOs beyond their national borders, including NGOs from developing countries and countries with economies in transition; and
  7. To provide international conferences and symposia as a foundation for the building of moral and healthy individuals, families, societies, and nations.

Our Mission

In May 2012, sughra international organization NGO launched a Code of Conduct for NGO engaged in Humanitarian and Reconstruction Activities in Pakistan to regulate their activities, following high profile accusations that NGO had misused international funds given for Pakistan reconstruction. The 21-article code sets high standards to ensure greater transparency and accountability, as well as to improve the quality of services provided by NGOs.  At the launch, UN Secretary General’s Special Representative issued a statement calling the Code of Conduct a better framework for reconstruction in which the respective roles of NGOs, the government and the private sector are clearly defined, monitored and regulated.

Become a Sponsor. Get Involved.

A range of psychological and communications theories have been used to explain how commercial sponsorship works to impact consumer audiences. Most use the notion that a brand (sponsor) and event (sponsoree) become linked in memory through the sponsorship and as a result, thinking of the brand can trigger event-linked associations. Cornwell, Weeks and Roy (2005)[2] have published an extensive review of the theories so far used to explain commercial sponsorship effects.

One of the most pervasive findings in sponsorship is that the best effects are achieved where there is a logical match between the sponsor and sponsoree, such as a sports brand sponsoring a sports event. Work by Cornwell and colleagues[3] however, has shown that brands that don’t have a logical match can still benefit, at least in terms of memory effects, if the sponsor articulates some rationale for the sponsorship to the audience.
